  "What do you eat?"

It's amazing how often I get this question. I feel great. If you eat what I eat does that mean you'll feel like me?

Ha! Healthy eating is simple, but each person is unique. What works for me may not work for you. As you'll soon see "food" shopping doesn't end at the grocery store. Keep reading to find out what essential ingredients you may be missing to feed yourself well.

I know some of you still want to know what ends up in my cart so here you go:

Plus a few choice oils/ fats and occasionally some animal protein. That's it. Mystery revealed!
 
So now you have a health counselor's grocery list, who needs the health counselor, right?

Sorry folks, it doesn't quite work that way. If there was one magic formula of eating that solved health problems, we would all be doing it. A gram of fat will burn differently in my body than in yours. So, there must be another piece of the puzzle.

Some of you still haven't come to the realization that WHAT you eat is only a part of the recipe for vibrant health. If you've been trying to shed that 10-15-20lbs since you were a teenager do you really think having the "right" list of foods is going to work this time?

We suffer from a high fact diet. Most of us know what to do to be healthy, but we don't  actually do it. Knowing isn't what motivates us to ACTION.

True or false?
As long as you eat the right foods in the right amounts, you'll ensure good health and lose weight.

False!
This principle seems scientifically sound but it's lacking. We can eat the healthiest food in the universe in the perfect amount, but if you are constantly stressed out, living out of integrity with yourself, skipping sleep, turning to food to nourish your emotions, or putting yourself at the bottom of the priority list you are setting yourself up for sabotage and dis-ease.

The truth:
WHAT you eat is only half the equation of good nutrition, HOW you eat is the other half.

It is time for a major paradigm shift in HOW we do food.
